Holiday camps at CYC The Island are an awesome time full of fantastic activities, great people and memories that last a lifetime!
With programs for Primary (8-12 years) and Teens (13-17 years), everyone's a winner each school holidays. Our Holiday Camps run during each school holiday period throughout the year at CYC The Island. Camps are a live-in program for school-aged children during the school holidays. Based around a program including a variety of activities, the week is designed to be enjoyable for campers, as well as beneficial to their growth and development. A large emphasis is placed on teamwork and co-operation, and our programs are designed to provide challenges, new experiences, and build self-confidence. Age-appropriate interactive Bible-based sessions each day are an integral part of camp and are often mentioned as a highlight of the week by campers.
Campers are divided into Cabin groups, under the supervision of one or two Cabin Leaders for the week. As well as supervision of the Campers, the Cabin Leaders act as older brother/older sister type role models to the Campers, and donate their time to be at camp specifically for the Campers.
